Barkley's story

by Damon D'Eustachio
(Charleston, South Carolina)

I learned how to do mouth to snout resuscitation today at the James Island County Dog park.

After swimming and running around, my boxer dropped to the ground.

His eyes were open, but he was unresponsive, not breathing, and his heart had stopped.

I thought Barkley was dead, but he was revived after a few blows through his nose.

If he had not received doggie CPR, my buddy would be gone.
