The Shih Tzu is a house pet and a companion and their temperament is affectionate, outgoing, cheerful, and is trusting.

The Shih Tzu has a very unique personality. They have a lot of spirit and character. Sometimes they can appear to be arrogant but naturally they are dignified.

They are a gentle and kind dog and get along with children. When they are outside they love to bark. The Shih Tzu Barks are very unique

But inside they are calm and quite. Be careful if you try to surprise, pester or tease one because they do have a tendency to snap. Make sure that your dog interacts with people. Interaction with people helps with the attitude your dog has.

Training a Shih Tzu puppy is not the easiest dog to train just like other dogs that are in the toy group. Shih Tzu pups are not good at learning tricks.

However, the Shih Tzu pup does carry himself with grace. Shih Tzu’s are a very loving and cuddly dog. Shih Tzu pups love to have company. They get along well with most other dogs because they are a good natured loving dog.

Some other Shih Tzu information is their sense of hearing is highly developed. They can especially hear high-pitched sounds and at a wider range of sounds. The Galton whistle has a silent call but the Shih Tzu has no problem hearing it. They can hear sounds further away than a human can.

The Shih Tzu eyes cannot focus directly on an object sharply, but it has a much greater peripheral vision than a human does. The Shih Tzu eyes are more sensitive to motion. They have to depend on their hearing sense to be able to interpret what they see.

Because of them being small dogs the change in the temperature could damage the Shih Tzu’s internal organs. The Shih Tzu health is important so make sure that you keep a watch on the weather. If the temperature is very hot, make sure that you keep him or her cool, and if it is cold make sure that you keep him or her snug and warm.
