My hero

by Darlene
(Rochester, NY, USA)

Well this is not really a first aid story but a story of a faithful friend...that I miss very much!

His name was Trunks

He came to me by way of my nephew. Trunks was his. My nephew asked me to take care of Trunks for him and I ended up keeping him.

Any way I was very ill, I had a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) and couldn't walk without a walker,I'm fine now but not then.

I was home alone and we had just moved there and it was not a nice place in Rochester NY.

I was in a recliner sleeping and someone kicked open the back door. I was on so much medicine that I never heard it.

My daughter came home and the back door was wide open and my Trunks was laying right at the chair underneath.

Apparently he saved me, he must have barked and scared the intruder away. From appearances he never left my side.

Dogs...You can't find anyone more faithful
