What is RSS Update?
Do you want to keep up to date on dog first aid?
Would you like an ongoing refresher course?
Then you'll want to subscribe to our RSS update service.
If you're eager, you can do that now!
right-click here and "Copy Shortcut" (control-click on a Mac and "Copy Link")
then paste the link into your favorite RSS reader.
Don't know what an RSS reader is?
We were, too.
That's because RSS is new.
What exactly is RSS?
It stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary."
What it boils down to is an efficient way for webmasters (us) to distribute website updates to our internet audience of dog lovers (you).
So, what's in it for you?
First, there's no risk of spam. Webmasters never know who's using their feed, so they can't send you a spammy message. (We have a zero-spam tolerance policy, so you'll never receive spam from us anyway, but it's good to know that you can keep up to date on all your favourite sites without spam risk.)
Second, you don't have to keep coming back to Dog First Aid 101, or any other site offering RSS, just to look for new content. With RSS updates, you'll know when we've added content to our site, whether it's more signs and symptoms, or the first aid treatment for particular injuries and illnesses. If the topic interests you and you want to learn about it, just click on the link and you'll quickly be increasing your knowledge of dog first aid.
Third, you have one convenient location for all the new content you're looking for. You can add every site you like to your RSS reader and always know when any, or all, of them have added new content. After all, new information is what you're after, not stale content from months or years ago.
Here are the basics:
- We add content to Dog First Aid 101, and update our RSS feed or URL (that link you saw near the top of the page).
- You (at your convenience) download our site updates by subscribing to our RSS feed — one click now, and you're updated!
How Do I Stay Updated?
There are two ways to set up your RSS update and stay current on dog first aid (and everything else that interests you).
- Include it in your personalized "My Yahoo!" or "My MSN" content (no software to download, but you have to log into My Yahoo! or My MSN each time to see it).
